この作品は、ヒレだけを切られて捨てられ、沈んでしまうサメのニュースが元になっています。

This work is based on the news of a shark that is cut off and thrown away and sinks.

後ろの扁額（へんがく）の文字は「蛸は芋変」。
ことわざの「蛸は芋に変じ、山芋は変じて鰻になる」から漢字を取りました。
意味は「世の中、突然何が起こるかわからない」。

お寿司屋さんの解体ショーのように、調理の様子を見せ物にするという状況が自分たちに当てはめられると、どのように感じるのか考えながら描きました。

The word "Hengaku" on the back is "Octopus is potato change".
I took the kanji from the saying, "Octopus turns into potatoes, yams turn into eels."
The meaning is "I don't know what will happen suddenly in the world."

I drew it while thinking about how it would feel if we could apply the situation of showing the cooking situation to ourselves, like the dismantling show of a sushi restaurant.

エスカルゴは内臓を抜いてほぼそのままの姿でだされるのになぜ美味しそうに見えるのでしょうか。食べる機会が多い貝に似ているからでしょうか。

人間は海の生き物で例えると貝が一番似ているそうですよ。

Why does escargot look delicious when it is served almost as it is with its internal organs removed? Is it because it resembles a shellfish that you often eat?

It seems that humans are most similar to shellfish when compared to sea creatures.

熱いお風呂に浸かっている時、煮込まれているような気持ちになります。人間の出汁よりも、料理を出す時に浸かってしまった店主の豚足の方が美味しそうですね。

ロールキャベツには、色んな動物の肉を混ぜた合い挽き肉が使われることが多いようです。

細かく叩いて、キャベツで包んでしまえば、牛も豚も鶏も人も、元の動物なんてわからない。

For cabbage rolls, it seems that ground meat mixed with meat of various animals is often used.

If you beat it finely and wrap it in cabbage, neither cows, pigs, chickens nor people will know the original animal.

クイズ番組で一度見た「人間を一番殺している生き物は？」という問題が印象に残っていたのでイラストにしました。
こちらも「感染」関連の作品です。
