1983年富山県出身。
会社員のかたわら独学で絵画制作活動を始め、2017年より画業に専念する。
同年、日経BP社出版「SDGｓとESG時代の生物多様性・自然資本経営」装画担当。
現在は各地で作品発表をする他、長野の女性のためのメディア「Biotope」季刊誌の装画や連載コラム、
パッケージなどのクライアントワークも手がけている。
自然豊かな土地で暮らす私にとって、自然とは心や体を豊かにしてくれるもの、一方では脅威でもあります。
それが生き物として当たり前の感じ方であるはずなのですが、現代人にとっては忘れがちなことかもしれません。
私が自然からインスピレーションを得て描いた作品を通して、自然の優しさや恩恵をお届けできればと願いながら制作をしています。
また、モチーフに施す細かな点や線は、刺繍や織物からインスパイアされたものです。
糸と糸の連なりから見えてくる模様や、時間の厚みや重みを、表現してみたいと思っています。

Aya Sekiguchi
Born in Toyama, Japan in 1983.
Beside an office worker, she started painting by herself and devoted herself to painting in 2017.
In the same year, she was in charge of designing "Biodiversity and Natural Capital Management in the SDGs and ESG Era" published by Nikkei BP.
Currently, in addition to presenting art works in various places, she is also involved in client work such as design and packaging.
For me, who lives in a land rich in nature, nature is a threat and a thing that enriches the mind and body.
That should be a natural way of feeling as a living thing, but it may be easy for modern people to forget.
I hope that I can deliver the kindness and benefits of nature through my art works inspired by nature.
In addition, the fine dots and lines applied to the motif are inspired by embroidery and textiles.
I would like to express the pattern created by a string of threads and the overlap of time.
