ARTIST miu　/ 現代美術作家　ミユ　

1975生兵庫県姫路市出身。愛媛県在住。宝塚造形芸術大学絵画コース卒業。
元・具体美術協会の嶋本昭三に師事し「今までにないものをつくれ」という具体の精神を学び
在学中にセメントを用いた作風を見出しました。
無機質なセメントには世に起こるネガティブな事柄や感情を投影させ、そこへ相反する
生命力あふれる彩りを与える事でポジティブな波動へと転化させ、現代人の心に「希望」を
呼び醒ます事をコンセプトに作品を生み出しています。

2014年から東京をはじめ、フランス、台湾、香港、などの展覧会に出展し、活動の場を国内外に広げています。
また、BIG STEP（大阪）の全長15mの床面パブリックアートを手掛ける等、企業とのコラボレーションや
コミッションワークも積極的に取組み、多岐に渡り挑戦し続けています。

ARTIST Miu (b. 1975)
Born in 1975, ARTIST Miu is a Contemporary artist, graduated from Takarazuka University of Art and Design.
ARTIST Miu studied under Shozo Shimamoto who is the co-founder of the former GUTAI Art Association.
Cement is the main material in ARTIST Miu’s artistic creation. ARTIST Miu render cement a touch of vitality
and transforms a mundane and raw material into colourful and scrupulous works that awaken “hope”.
Currently living and working in Japan, ARTIST Miu has exhibited in Taiwan, France, and other countries,
including solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, spatial art and public art projects.
